Ingredients:

  • 1 cup polenta
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 cups water
  • 30 g parmesan

What to do:

Bring water to a boil. Slowly whisk in the polenta and lower heat to a very low simmer. Add salt and oregano and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently with a wooden spoon. The polenta should bubble thickly. Cover with lid and take of the heat. Leave for 10 minutes. 

While still hot, scoop the polenta into a greased square tray and let cool completely. Cut into 2 cm cubes and deep fry until golden brown. Serve hot, sprinkled with parmesan!
